Site Facilities

The camp accomodates a total of 60 children housed in two dormitories, one of 24 the other of 36. Each dormitory has its own self contained toilet and shower block, as well as accomodation for two members of staff. The smaller dormitory also contains toilet and shower facilities for staff. A further four staff can be accomodated in the common room block, which has its own toliet and shower facilities for staff.

In the centre of the camp is a turfed grass area suitable for a wide variety of ball games and there is also a selection of play equipment including swings, frames and a slide. A large multi-purpose recreation hall which contains some indoor play equipment provides an ideal venue for discos and for gathering all children together. Between the dorm blocks is an additonal large covered play area with concrete floor which contains no resident equipment. A further carpeted common room with seating and tables has been added in the new block and is of suitable size for formal group actvities.

The staffroom now overlooks the central play area and contains a variety of facilities for staff including a small kitchen area, TV and pool table for staff use. This block also contains a washing machine, drying room and payphone. Equipment donations are always welcome.
